You might not be surprised to learn that many color names come from flower hues, but can you guess which color name came from the French word for flea? I still don’t know where we got the name for chartreuse.

Our exhibit will hang in the library from the 31st of August to  28 September. There are many beautiful paintings please come see them and bring friends. Your vote is important. There will be a reception on 28 September from 10:00 am to 1:00pm. There is always great food and conversation come join us. The doors to the exhibit are closed at 12:00pm for counting of ballots.

Students need to be at the North County Library no later than 10:00am on the 31st of August  to set up for this year’s show. It will take about an hour and all help will be appreciated. All paintings need to be framed and have a wire attached for hanging.
